A2P 10DLC registration and campaign approval
If you send business texts to US numbers, carriers need to know who you are and why you are texting. I handle the brand and campaign registration from start to finish, so your messages are delivered instead of filtered.
What A2P 10DLC is and who needs it
A2P 10DLC stands for Application-to-Person 10-digit long code. It is the registration system US carriers use for business texting from standard local phone numbers. You register your business, called the brand, then describe what you text and how people agree to receive it, called the campaign.
You need it if you send SMS or MMS to US phone numbers from 10-digit local numbers. US carriers filter or block traffic from numbers that are not registered. If you do not text US numbers, you do not need it.
Registration is done through your messaging platform and reviewed through The Campaign Registry. Each platform has its own screens and requirements, which is where most of the delays and rejections come from.
What I handle for you
Brand registration
Your business details submitted so they match your official records, plus brand vetting where your platform requires it.
Campaign use case
The right use case for what you actually send, with a clear description of your messaging.
Sample messages
Example texts that match your use case and carry the opt-out wording reviewers look for.
Opt-in proof
The form, checkout step or keyword flow where customers agree to get texts, documented so a reviewer can follow it.
Privacy policy and terms
A check that your website pages cover text messaging and how mobile numbers and consent are handled. If something is missing, I tell you exactly what to add.
Number setup
Linking the approved campaign to your sending numbers inside your platform and confirming messages go out.
Why A2P 10DLC registrations get rejected
These are the problems I check first. Requirements differ between platforms and change over time, so I confirm against your provider's current rules before I submit.
Unclear opt-in
Reviewers need to see where and how a customer agrees to receive texts. A vague description, or no proof, is a frequent reason for rejection.
Privacy policy or terms without SMS language
The pages linked from your opt-in should mention text messaging and explain how mobile numbers and consent are handled.
Sample messages that do not match the use case
If your examples read like promotions but you registered for account notifications, the campaign can be rejected.
Business details that do not line up
Your legal name, registration number, address and website need to be consistent with each other and with public records.
Missing opt-out and help wording
Messages and opt-in text should tell people how to stop receiving texts and how to get help.
Restricted content or link shorteners
Some categories need extra care, and public link shorteners in messages can trigger filtering. Use your own branded domain for links.
Already rejected? Send me the rejection reason and your platform, and I will tell you what needs to change before you resubmit. Contact me.
How the registration works
Review
You send your business details, website and platform. I check what carriers will look at and flag gaps.
Prepare
I write the campaign description and sample messages and set out your opt-in proof.
Submit
I submit the brand and campaign through your platform and follow the review.
Connect
Once approved, I connect the campaign to your numbers and confirm messages send.
Carrier review can take from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the carrier and platform. Careful preparation is the best way to avoid a rejection that adds more time.
Platforms I register on
I have registered brands and campaigns on Twilio, GoHighLevel, Plivo, Dialpad, Zoom Phone and GoTo. If your platform is not on that list, ask me. You can see the full list on the homepage.
Approved registrations from real accounts
More examples, including GoHighLevel, Twilio and ad account results, are in the Real Work section on the homepage.
A2P 10DLC questions
How long does A2P 10DLC registration take?
It depends on carrier and platform review. Approvals can take from a few days to a few weeks. Getting the submission right the first time is the biggest factor in avoiding delays.
Do I need to register if I only text people outside the US?
A2P 10DLC applies to messages sent to US phone numbers from standard 10-digit local numbers. If you do not text US numbers, you do not need it.
What does registration cost?
There are two parts: fees charged by your platform and the carriers, which vary by provider, and my service fee. Message me your platform and use case and I will give you a clear quote.
My campaign was rejected. Can you fix it?
Yes. Send me the rejection reason and the platform you use. I will review the submission, tell you what to change, and help you resubmit.
Which platforms do you work on?
Twilio, GoHighLevel, Plivo, Dialpad, Zoom Phone and GoTo, among others. If you use something else, ask and I will tell you if I can help.
What do you need from me to start?
Your business name and registration details, your website, the platform you send from, a description of what you text, and where customers opt in. If you are missing some of these, I will tell you what to prepare.
Ready to get approved?
Tell me your platform and what you text, and I will reply with a short plan and next steps.
